It uses Midori’s original MD PAPER, developed in-house since the 1960s and renowned for its smooth texture and excellent resistance to bleed-through and feathering, even when used with fountain pens.

MD PAPER is used not only for the inner pages but also for the cover and endpapers, ensuring a consistent and satisfying writing experience from beginning to end. The lined pages include a slightly thicker center line, enabling flexible page layouts—such as dividing a page into top and bottom sections, or a two-page spread into four sections. This makes the notebook ideal for memos, journaling, or planning when paired with dates or headings.
